Heirloom furniture, surfboards, and keepsakes handcrafted in Waimānalo, Hawai‘i.

Rooted in Tradition, Crafted in Hawaii

Founded in 1997, Royal Hawaiian Woodwork is the Waimānalo-based studio of native Hawaiian master woodworker Leleo Kinimaka, who was born and raised on Kaua‘i. Inspired by a childhood immersed in Hawaiian tradition and by his father Percy’s connection to Waikīkī beach culture and Duke Kahanamoku, Leleo combines his passion for surfing, canoe paddling, and woodworking to create handcrafted pieces that honor Hawaiian heritage. Using both local and domestic woods, he crafts traditional surfboards, paddles, Lua weapons, furniture, and custom Hawaiiana that blend exceptional craftsmanship with cultural storytelling, sustainability, and deep respect for the spirit of aloha and ʻāina.
